Passing the baton - The Chitchat Newspaper has changed hands. Thank you Debbie for your years of dedication to the Childers and Woodgate Community.
The Local Paper will live on.
I think you will agree with me that the Chitchat is a valued newspaper offering the Childers and surrounding communities with access to important information, local events, and businesses.
This free newspaper was created almost 30 years ago. What began as a bulletin has turned into a 20+ page newspaper that represents the enormous heart of our hometown.
Chitchat owner Debbie Williamson-Gleich has consistently dedicated her time, creating the paper, attending your events, photographing you, travelling countless kilometers, and doing late-night delivery runs to provide this helpful resource to us.
Every month over 5000 copies of this paper is shared with residents, businesses, friends, loved ones, grandparents, and travelers from far and near.
The chitchat newspaper has taken Debbie all over the surrounding communities, but now it’s time to say relax and thank you.
Don’t worry, the chitchat will continue to run with a new editor and under the continued guidance of Debbie.
Debbie will remain in her hometown of Childers, continuing to show up and support the community.
